1) I wish to convert my foreign driving licence, what do I need to do
To convert your valid foreign driving licence, you will need to pass a Basic Theory Test (BTT). A passed Basic Theory Test (BTT) does not guarantee a conversion. You may visit Traffic Police’s website and select ‘Singapore Driving Licence’ → ‘Conversion of Foreign Driving Licence’ for more information.
Upon passing Basic Theory Test, please apply for foreign driving licence conversion online via https://go.gov.sg/foreign-driving-licence-conversion.

To book a Basic Theory Test, you will first need to enrol to open an account.
3) How to enrol
You may Make an Appointment to visit our centre to enrol in person with your valid NRIC/FIN Card at the centre.

4) Am I eligible to convert my foreign driving licence
We are unable to check your eligibility for foreign driving licence conversion. A passed Basic Theory Test (BTT) does not guarantee a conversion. You may visit Traffic Police’s website and select ‘Singapore Driving Licence’ → ‘Conversion of Foreign Driving Licence’ for more information.
5) I wish to book Basic Theory Test only, but it is under construction
If you wish to book a basic theory test only, please Make an Appointment to enrol in person with your valid NRIC/FIN Card. Please take note that the appointment is for enrolment to open an account first, it is not a date to take a basic theory test.
6) My foreign driving licence has expired, can I take Basic Theory Test
We are not able to check your eligibility. You may visit Traffic Police’s website for more information.
7) I wish to convert my foreign driving licence within a period of time
Please take note that the total duration will be subject to various factors such as appointment date, test date, test attempts, conversion application processes and your schedule, etc. Therefore, we are not able to advise on the duration.

Course For Foreigners Related Q&A
1) Can I learn driving without a foreign driving licence
Foreigners without any foreign driving licence and wish to obtain Class 3/3A/2B licence must possess a valid FIN Card under any occupation (Work Permit, S-Pass, Employment Pass, Dependant Pass, etc) issued by Singapore Ministry of Manpower or ICA in order to enrol for our courses.
2) Are the course fees the same for foreigners
All course fees are the same for Singaporeans, PRs and FIN Card holders. Please click here for more course information and course fees.
3) I am on short term visit, can I obtain the driving licence within a period
Please select the course you wish to enrol and check whether you meet the course requirements.
Due to the high demand for slots, we are unable to make special arrangements. In addition, some time allowance should be set aside for waiting period.
