The Second Honda Rainbow Instructor Competition

This year, BBDC was invited to participate in the 2nd Honda Rainbow Instructor Competition, organised by Honda Rainbow Motor School Co. Ltd.

The objectives of the competition were to improve and unify the safe driving skills of the instructors and training instructors who were active in each centre, and to improve the quality of Honda as a promotion unit for safe driving activities.

The competition was held at Traffic Education Centre, Rainbow Hamanako, Japan on 8 and 9 November 2023.  3 BBDC instructors were selected from our internal competition to participate in the Competition.  There were 5 Honda Rainbow Traffic Education Centres in Japan, each sending 3 instructors. Together with the instructors from Singapore, a total of 21 instructors participated in the motorcycle and motorcar categories.

Motorcycle competition items include riding in a figure of 8, Pylon Slalom, Course Slalom and Narrow Plank:

In addition to participating in the competition, our instructors also had the opportunity to receive motorcar and motorcycle training before and after the competition. Under the training of two Japanese instructors, Mr Shimoura and Mr Nakamura, our instructors benefited greatly in terms of knowledge and skills.

⇑ Our Senior instructor, Mr Chua Soon Yong received a special award from Mr Koichiro Kageta, President of Honda Rainbow Motor School, for his outstanding performance in the competition.
