1) When should I take eyesight test?
A passed eyesight test is required for application of e-PDL. Therefore, it is advisable to pass your eyesight test before taking Basic Theory Test.
2) Do I need to make appointment for eyesight test?
No appointment is required if you have a valid account with us. You may proceed to the Customer Service with your valid NRIC/FIN Card and glasses/lenses (if necessary).
3) How much is eyesight test?
The eyesight test is $1.96 (incl 9% GST), it will be deducted from your BBDC account.
4) How long does it takes to conduct eyesight test?
Eyesight test takes around 5 minutes. For customers who enrolled online, identity verification will be done together with eyesight test and photo taking. Whole procedure may take around 20 minutes, excluding queuing time.
5) Do I need to take eyesight test if I have a valid e-PDL?
Eyesight test is NOT required if you have:
- A valid e-PDL; or
- Passed the eyesight test with us in other courses within 3 years.
The exemption will be done during counter enrolment or during identity verification (for online enrolment).
6) What if I failed my eyesight test?
If you failed your eyesight test, you may wish to check your eyesight again with an optician whether new glasses/lenses are required.
7) I have slight colour blindness, can I enrol?
All Class 3/3A/2B learners have to pass their eyesight test upon enrolment. If you have any eye medical issues like lazy eyes or colour blindness, our Customer Service Officer may refer you to an ophthalmologist to certify whether you are fit to learn driving/riding.
