1) How to apply for Class 3A or Class 3 PDL
For application or more information on Provisional Driving Licence (e-PDL), please visit Traffic Police’s website or Police@SG mobile app. Payment is $25 by Visa/Master/e-nets, valid for 2 years.
Please ensure that you have passed Basic Theory Test and eyesight test before applying for PDL. You need to select ‘Class 3 PDL’ regardless of auto or manual course.
If you have just passed the Basic Theory Test or eyesight test, allow at least 4 to 24 hrs for the result to be updated into the system before the PDL application.
If you have not passed the eyesight test, please proceed to Customer Service with your valid NRIC/FIN Card and glasses/lenses (if necessary).
E-PDL status will be updated into our system within 1 working day upon application automatically.
2) How to apply for Class 2B PDL

Please ensure that you have passed Basic Theory Test, eyesight test and Subject 5.02 Circuit Evaluation before the PDL application.
If you have just passed the Basic Theory Test or eyesight test or Subject 5.02 Circuit Evaluation, allow at least 4 to 24 hrs for the result to be updated into the system before application.
If you have not passed the eyesight test, please proceed to Customer Service with your valid NRIC/FIN Card and glasses/lenses (if necessary).
For Class 2B customers, e-PDL has to be updated in order to book Subject 6.01 (road training).
E-PDL status will be updated into our system within 1 working day upon application automatically.
3) PDL Printout
Please ensure you have a valid e-PDL and show a screenshot or printout when reporting for every practical lesson and test. E-PDL status will be updated into our system within 1 working day upon application automatically.
4) Why my PDL is not updated in the system
Generally, all e-PDL status will be updated into our system within 1 working day upon application automatically. Please email us at customerservice@bbdc.sg and attach a screenshot of the e-PDL if it is not updated after 1 working day. E-PDL status is not viewable from your BBDC account.
For Class 2B customers, e-PDL has to be updated in order to book Subject 6.01 (road training).
5) I would like to check my PDL status
You may log in to Traffic Police’s website or Police@SG mobile app to check your PDL status or expiry date. Please take a screenshot or print it out for reporting of practical lessons and tests.
6) PDL Renewal
You may still renew your e-PDL if it has expired within 3 years (eyesight test is not required, please ignore the ‘eye-sight test required’ message).
If e-PDL has expired more than 3 years, you will need to apply again (an eyesight test is required).
You may renew or apply via Traffic Police’s website or Police@SG mobile app. Each new application/renewal is $25, valid for 2 years.
